CloseTarek El Moussa and Christina Hall met in 2005 while working as real estate agents in California. The pair tied the knot in 2009 and welcomed their first child in September in 2010.
The pair found fame when Flip or Flop made its debut on HGTV in 2013. In the series, Tarek discovers homes to flip, and Christina focuses on decorating the space. RelatedTarek El Moussa’s Relationship History Before Marrying Christina Hall And Heather Rae Young Is Downright Dramatic
Tarek El Moussa has had two public marriages, but who did he date prior to falling in love with Christina Hall and Heather Rae Young?
Later it was revealed that Christina feared for Tarek's life when his mental health plummeted. After an explosive argument between the pair, Tarek alleges he left the couple's home for a hike, taking his .39 caliber pistol with him. Fearing that he would harm himself, Christina called 9-1-1. This incident led to the demise of their family and caused Tarek to enter a halfway house for two months.
Tarek has explained that in the weeks leading up to his divorce were "physical and emotional hell," describing bouts with alcohol and struggling with an addiction to testosterone. He holds no negative thoughts about Christina, understanding why she called emergency services despite it causing him to be handcuffed and the story hitting the headlines.
"I hold nothing against Christina. I understand why she did what she did. We had a lot of hard years through my sicknesses and my mental health struggles from the testosterone… I've never said any of this, ever."
The pair continued to try to work together, even after their dramatic split. While on set for Flip or Flop in the summer of 2021, Tarek El Moussa verbally assaulted Christina Hall. He called her a lesser version of his wife, a former Playboy model who recently appeared in Netflix's Selling Sunset and referred to Hall as a "washed-up loser."
In March 2022, El Moussa and Hall confirmed that Flip or Flop was ending."I will be forever grateful to have had a series for a decade," Christina Hall explained to PEOPLE. "It's a huge accomplishment and everyone who worked on the show should be very proud."
El Moussa added that "I couldn't be more grateful for the last ten years with Flip Or Flop. The support from our fans, the network and the wild ride that it's been has been incredible."
"Even though the Flip Or Flop chapter is coming to a close, another exciting one is soon starting."
Tarek El Moussa and Christina Hall hosted 148 episodes of Flip or Flop together on HGTV from 2013-2022.
